Dr Oti-Mensah is a results-oriented and impact-driven leader, with over two decades of leadership in Banking and Development Finance, guiding institutions through growth, transformation, and innovation. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of UMB, where he continues to steer high-performing teams, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering sustainable business outcomes.

Prior to his present role, he served as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at OmniBSIC Bank. He was the founding CEO of OmniBank, a result of the successful transformation and rebranding of Union Savings & Loans. Under his leadership, OmniBank became a key player in Ghana’s financial landscape, culminating in a landmark merger with BSIC as part of the Bank of Ghana’s sector consolidation programme.

Beyond executive roles, he has consulted for financial institutions across Africa and serves on multiple boards, including UMB and Aqua Safari.
His academic background includes a B.Sc. in Banking & Finance and an MBA in Project Management from the University of Ghana Business School, as well as a Master of Applied Business Research and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Swiss Business School. He is a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), a Certified International Change Manager, and a graduate of the ProCredit Academy in International Bank Management (Germany).

He has been the recipient of several wards including, Private Sector COO of the Year (2023), President’s Award for Excellence in Banking & Finance (2020), 40 under 40 & 20 under 40 Influential Business Leader Awards (2017–2018) and SME Financial Services CEO of the Year (2017). He continues to be passionate about driving inclusive finance, fostering leadership excellence, and enabling sustainable institutional growth across Africa’s financial services ecosystem.
