Responsibilities<\/span><\/h4>
\u2022 <\/span>Provides oversight for development of a plan of care for each patient, including complete history, physical examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and \/or referral, uses all available resources in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Responsible for conducting daily ward rounds <\/span>for patients on detention at the ward <\/span>and managing patients with the support of medical officers and other specialists.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Run specialized clinics for identified patient groups.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of patients.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Order and interpret the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Conduct health <\/span>education <\/span>and counselling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the patient to make informed choices about health and treatment options.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Be available for on-call duties.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Lead the clinical team on management of cases<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>

Experience Requirement<\/span><\/h4>
\u2022 <\/span>Minimum of a Doctor of Medicine degree (MBCHB) plus Registration and License to Practice<\/span> in Ghana.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Must be a<\/span>t least a<\/span> member of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons or an equivalent college.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u2022 <\/span>Must have a minimum five (5) years post specialization experience.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
The role reports to the Medical Director<\/span><\/strong><\/h6><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Requirements<\/span><\/h4>
  • MBChB or equivalent from a recognized Institution.<\/li>
  • Full Registration with Medical and Dental Council.<\/li>
  • 3+ years of experience in the profession.<\/li>
  • Pleasant personality, technology savy and committed to delivering exceptional service.<\/li>
  • Broad knowledge base of health sector policy and systems<\/li><\/ul>
